Summer Nights, Autumn Leaves, Holiday Cookies

Though it’s supposed to be a time for rest and relaxation, summertime is often really busy.  Rituals, workshops, gatherings, and festivals are abundant, not to mention the regular obligations of our mundane lives.  But as we enter into cooler seasons, we spiral together on another turn of the Wheel of the Year.  We find ourselves in perhaps the busiest season of them all, stretching from Pagan Pride weekend in September to New Year’s Day in January.

TAPA has been trying to keep track of all of the great Pagan stuff that’s happening in the Triangle area, and we’re amazed at how active you all are!  Not a week goes by that there isn’t something fun and exciting going on with Triangle Pagans, and TAPA is proud to be part of such a vibrant and lively community.  We have our own events that we’d like to share, and with the help of our friends over at Thaumaturgy 777 in Durham, we are hosting monthly workshops, rituals, or gatherings throughout the rest of 2014 and into 2015.  All TAPA events are free and open to the public, so we hope that you join us!

World Goddess Day Ritual
We are proud to host a public ritual as part of the World Goddess Day Project, which is an initiative by Claudiney Prieto, the Brazilian author of the bestselling “Wicca: Goddess Religion.”  Please join TAPA, Triangle Pagans, and Pagans from around the world as we gather to celebrate the Divine Feminine.  This ritual is on Sunday, September 7 at Thaumaturgy 777 in Durham.  Gather at 1:00pm, and ritual will begin promptly at 1:15pm.  As the Goddess is within and all around everyone, ALL are welcome to attend this ritual - this is not just for women! Please feel free to contribute to the Goddess altar, and magical garb and ritual tools are encouraged but not required. (Just wear whatever makes you feel comfortable and pretty!) If you have a favorite ritual tool, you are welcome to use it! Light snacks and beverages to follow.

Thaumaturgy 777 and Triangle Area Pagan Alliance Samhain Ritual
Thaumaturgy 777 will be hosting their second annual Samhain festival on November 1, 2014.  TAPA will be helping with this year's ritual.  More details about this festival and ritual will be revealed closer to the date, but we’re looking forward to this large community gathering!

Hecate at the Crossroads Ritual
The Greek Goddess Hecate (known as Trivia to the Romans) is beloved to many witches and Pagans. It is said that she ruled over the earth, sea, and sky. The Greeks honored her at this time of the year as “Hecate at the Crossroads”. TAPA is honoring Hecate on Sunday November 23 at Thaumaturgy 777 for a very special "Hecate at the Crossroads" ritual. Gather at 1:00pm, ritual promptly at 1:15 pm.  You are invited to contribute items for our special Hecate altar. Magical tools and ritual garb are welcome as well, but not required. Wear whatever makes you feel pretty and comfortable, and if you have a special ritual item you'd love to use, please feel free to bring it!  Light refreshments and beverages will be provided after the ritual.  At this ritual we will ask that Hecate “light the crossroads before us that we may see our way.”  This ritual is free and open to all.

Holiday Party and Cookie Exchange
TAPA would love to invite you to their winter holiday party and meet-and-greet on Sunday, December 7 at 1pm at Thaumaturgy 777.  This is a laid back affair to hang out, chat, and snack on some yummy cookies!  If you are so inclined, bring a dozen cookies for our "cookie exchange" - bring some cookies, take some cookies, and have a good time!  This event is free and open to all.  Hope to see you there!  Happy holidays and blessed Yule!

  • Are you or is your group doing something really cool?  Your public event could be listed here or on our events page!  Contact TAPA today and be part of the community!  TriangleAreaPagans@gmail.com

Blessings and clear skies!
