Your Fearless Coordinators went out for ice cream afterwards to talk about how cool everyone was and start hammering out some details for the April 27th Earth Day ritual at the Festival of Legends. We're excited about it because the values of Earth Day fit so well with the values TAPA was founded to promote -- Think Globally, Act Locally has become something of a cliche, but it's one of those things that became a cliche because it's so true. As Earth Day is about putting that into practice on the level of earth systems, TAPA is about putting that into practice in our spiritual lives. Paganism / polytheism / animism / earth-centered religions are world religions existing throughout human history and across the planet, but we put them into practice them right here and right now. Global faith, local practice.
If you didn't make it to the meet-and-greet, you missed some good food! But all is not lost. You can still bookmark this page, e-mail to tell us you want to be on the mailing list, and stay on top of the events calendar. Heck, you can even volunteer for the steering committee, whose first meeting is next week! (We love vict-- er, volunteers.)
Thanks again to all our intrepid new friends (and you less-new ones, too). Special thanks to Magus of Thaumaturgy 777, who donated the spacious meeting room -- show him your gratitude and foster local economy by paying a visit to the shop!
