Isn’t the TAPA logo great?  The graphic draws inspiration from many things and was influenced by many sources near and dear to our hearts as contemporary Pagans.

Our logo resembles a compass rose, pointing the way to the four directions.  Like many Pagans, we honor these directions during our rituals, calling out to familiar and beloved landmarks, spirits, and energies in our communities.  Reaching far up into the heavens and deep down into the earth, our logo is the tree of life.  In our rituals we remember to honor that which is above and below, within and without.  The TAPA logo is inspired by the writings of the famous Pagan writer, priestess, and activist, Starhawk.  It is inspired by imagery and theology found within Druidry, found within Wicca, and shared by other Pagan paths.  Our logo is an art deco, life-giving chlorophyll molecule, and it is also a beloved gift from a friend.

One of TAPA’s missions is to support our community, and that includes local artists and craftspeople, Pagan, Polytheist, or otherwise.  We appreciate the hard work, dedication, and effort that these fine individuals put forth to represent our beloved community.  And in keeping with this mission, we’d like to thank the artist who created our logo.

Nicole collaborated with us a few years ago, back when TAPA was first gaining momentum.  We told her of our dreams for TAPA, shared our collective influences, and she crafted the perfect image for us.  We are so thankful to have such talented and generous friends and members of our community!  Together we can all go so far!  Thank you, Nicole, for creating a visual representation for something so abstract and nebulous.  Thank you for giving us a focal point for our vision.

Our artist-friend Nicole is currently showcasing her art pieces over at a Durham coffee shop, Joe Van Gogh.  You have until the end of May to check her out, so get on over there, quick!  Nicole also accepts work on commission, so if you like her style, be sure to message her and she’ll create something beautiful for you, too!  (Or maybe you’ll find the perfect piece at the art show – they’re for sale!)  If you can’t get over to Joe Van Gogh (you don’t know what you’re missing!) then check out Nicole’s Instagram page.

Thanks again, Nicole!  We can never thank you enough, and we are in awe over your talents!
