TAPA was also featured in a Wild Hunt article about World Goddess Day, so be sure to check it out and share it with friends! We’re thrilled to have been part of such an awesome, international celebration, and to also be included in such an awesome Pagan news site. We’ll be sure to host a World Goddess Day event in 2015, so if you have any thoughts or suggestions about World Goddess Day, let us know!
We’d also like to offer special thanks to our gracious host, Thaumaturgy 777, for allowing TAPA to use their space. Their Vision Room is a great, comfortable gathering space that TAPA has used in the past, and we’ll keep on using for our upcoming monthly events for the rest of 2014. If you haven’t been to Thaumaturgy 777, be sure to check them out and give them your support. TAPA makes it a mission to support local groups and businesses, and we can’t express how grateful we are for Thaumaturgy’s support in our endeavors.
Are you sad that you missed our World Goddess Day ritual? Don’t worry! We have a ton of really great events coming up! TAPA will have a table at this year’s Pagan Pride Day in Raleigh. In addition to a table, we’ll also be hosting two workshops, focusing on the historical and practical aspects of the Spirits of Place. A TAPA member will also be helping with a panel on Pagan elders, so be sure to check out these great workshops, and come by and say hello to us! We’d also like to unofficially announce that TAPA will be hosting the afternoon ritual for this year’s PPD! The ritual will be at 2pm, so please come out and join in our celebration of the local harvest! In conjunction to our ritual, we’ll have a public harvest altar at our table, so please come by the table and pay your respects at the harvest altar in any way that calls to you. (More information about PPD will be posted soon!)
Other upcoming TAPA events include:
Thaumaturgy 777 and Triangle Area Pagan Alliance Samhain Ritual
Thaumaturgy 777 will be hosting their second annual Samhain festival on November 1, 2014. TAPA will be helping with this year's ritual. More details about this festival and ritual will be revealed closer to the date, but we’re looking forward to this large community gathering!
Hecate at the Crossroads Ritual
The Greek Goddess Hecate (known as Trivia to the Romans) is beloved to many witches and Pagans. It is said that she ruled over the earth, sea, and sky. The Greeks honored her at this time of the year as “Hecate at the Crossroads”. TAPA is honoring Hecate on Sunday November 23 at Thaumaturgy 777 for a very special "Hecate at the Crossroads" ritual. Gather at 1:00pm, ritual promptly at 1:15 pm. You are invited to contribute items for our special Hecate altar. Magical tools and ritual garb are welcome as well, but not required. Wear whatever makes you feel pretty and comfortable, and if you have a special ritual item you'd love to use, please feel free to bring it! Light refreshments and beverages will be provided after the ritual. At this ritual we will ask that Hecate “light the crossroads before us that we may see our way.” This ritual is free and open to all.
Holiday Party and Cookie Exchange
TAPA would love to invite you to their winter holiday party and meet-and-greet on Sunday, December 7 at 1pm at Thaumaturgy 777. This is a laid back affair to hang out, chat, and snack on some yummy cookies! If you are so inclined, bring a dozen cookies for our "cookie exchange" - bring some cookies, take some cookies, and have a good time! This event is free and open to all. Hope to see you there! Happy holidays and blessed Yule!
It’s been a great year for TAPA and we look forward to sharing the harvest and celebrations with you!
Take good care!
Amanda and the Triangle Area Pagan Alliance
